OUR MINISTRY TEAM

These are the ministries that are keeping the wheels of Issachar International Ministries' turning. The men and women that compose the below listed ministries are the secrets to our success.

TRAINING DIRECTOR

Develops, plan, supervise and coordinates all aspects of Christian Educational Programs for the Ministries. Has oversight responsibility of the Samuel B. Martin Educational Foundation and the Issachar School of Leadership.

MUSIC DIRECTOR

Have general oversight and supervision of the choir and the Praise-in-Worship ministry and shall seek its development, growth and expansion.

MEN'S MINISTRY

Encourage men to actively engage in the work of the Lord, help them to discover their gifting from the Lord, develop those gifts and provide the opportunity for the manifestation of said gift.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Encourage women to actively engage in the work of the Lord, helping them to discover their gifting from the Lord, develop those gifts and provide the opportunity for the manifestation and use of said gift.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Shall serve as the feeding ground for church leadership growth and development. Shall bring youths together with out discrimination (race, sex &etc.) for the purpose of kingdom advancement. Shall seek the development and improvement of young people to be the leaders that God created them to be. This ministry shall scout young people, discover their gifting, develop those gifting and provide the atmosphere to exercise their gifts. The official name of this ministry shall be “NEHEMIAH GENERATION” Nehemiah 4:6; 6:15-16 the group that is going to build the broken down walls and restore our gates.

CHILDREN MINISTRY

Shall pray for, encourage, recruit and train workers to take care of the children of the ministries. Shall provide nursery and day care services for the children during worship service and other special meetings. Shall prepare the children for the youth ministry. Psalm 127:3-5; 128:3 “… your children like Olive plants all around your table.”

USHER MINISTRY

Shall receive all financial gifts (tithes and offering) during worship service and turn over said funds to the treasure for record keeping and banking. Shall minister to the comfort of those attending church service and meetings. Shall have the oversight responsibility of tiding and up keep of the church sanctuary and properties at all times. Shall have a representative on the finance committee at all times.

GREETERS MINISTRY

Shall work together with the Usher Ministry. Responsible to make our guest feel at home in our services. They shall serve as the compass of our services directing our guest and helping them to find their way around easily.

EVANGELISM & COUNSELLING MINISTRY

•  Shall plan, coordinate and supervise the evangelistic work of the ministries.

•  Shall distribute relief items to those in need as need arises.

•  Shall provide counseling services to the community.

•  Shall visit the shut-in, disable, homeless, sick, bereaved, members of the ministries and etc.

•  Shall provide counseling for members with spiritual or domestic problems.

•  Shall encourage new coverts (comers) and ensure visitation and follow-up.

Functions of our Ministry Leadership

THE IMPLEMENTING SECRETARY:

The Implementing Secretary shall provide apostolic oversight of the Ministries at all times. He shall serve as the chairman of the council of ministers and shall be the under shepherd of the headquarter church at all times. He is the chief administrative officer, spokes person of the ministries and the chairman of the council of ministers.

He shall supervise the implementation of whatever God leads him to do with the advice and consent of his corps of officers to consist of the council of ministers, Elders and a representative from the Deacons. The Implementing Secretary is clothed with the authority to make decisions in the absence of the mentioned corps of officers as situation dictates in the interest of the ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE IMPLEMENTING SECRETARY:

* Must be the founder / visionary of the ministries

* Must be one of the first few that the visionary communicated the vision to and have been with us from the beginning according to Acts 1:20-26.

* Must be an elder according to 1 st 3:1-17; Titus 1:6-9.

DUTIES OF THE IMPLEMENTING SECRETARY

The implementing Secretary shall be the head of the board of trustees. He is responsible to implement decisions reached by the board of trustees. He reports to the board of trustees bi-annually or as may be deemed necessary by the board.

COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

The Implementing Secretary, all licensed and ordained ministers and the principle secretary of the ministries shall comprise the council of ministers. The council of ministers shall meet quarterly, but emergency meetings may be convened as situation arises. The spiritual to the ministries shall be the advisor to the council of ministers. The Implementing Secretary shall be the chairman of the council of ministers at all times. Place of meeting of the council of ministers shall be determine by the chairman.

FUNCTION OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

•  To make sure that all ministers are in one accord or dwelling in unity Psalm 133:1-3; Genesis 11:6

•  Shall settle all disputes among ministers

•  To encourage one another in ministry Romans 1:12

•  Discuss the progress and future of the ministries and etc.

THE LOCAL CHURCH

Every local church under this commission shall have two (2) pastors, the senior/ head pastor and his assistant pastor. Any other pastor shall be termed associate pastor. The senior pastor is charge with the responsibility of selecting his assistant pastor, except other wise deemed necessary by the Implementing Secretary, Council of Ministers or Mission Director.
